Display in Honor of Flag Day

Chapter members honor our nation’s flag, the Star Spangled Banner, and the author of its words, Frances Scott Key, to celebrate Flag Day on June 14th.

The Blake Library in Stuart, Florida, gives our chapter the opportunity to set up a display during June. The chapter offers a large framed picture of Francis Scott Key, free brochures for the public, and small flags for the taking. The library selects book choices about the War of 1812, our flag, our National Anthem, and many other books of the same historical genre that would appeal to all ages of readers. This project promotes community interest and educates them about our nation’s history.
