JROTC students in high schools in surrounding counties are
recognized annually at their yearly awards assemblies. Students
who demonstrate qualities of academic excellence, leadership,
military discipline, dependability, patriotism, and upright
character in speech and habits are given JROTC Medals and
Certificates on behalf of the National Defense Committee.
